What We Offer

At The Little Hoof Company, we provide calm, joyful and memorable animal experiences for people of all ages. From children’s parties to care home visits and special events, every visit is carefully planned with animal welfare, safety and enjoyment at its heart.

Our miniature Shetland ponies, Doug and Digby, are gentle, friendly characters who love meeting people. Alongside our donkeys and goats, they help create relaxed, meaningful moments that are remembered long after the day itself.

Children’s Pony Parties

Perfect for birthdays and celebrations, our pony parties are designed especially for young children.

Each visit is tailored to the group and typically includes:

* Calm meet-and-greet with the ponies
* Gentle grooming and hands-on interaction
* Themed props and dress-up (princess, unicorn, superheroes and more)
* Fun, age-appropriate activities and photo opportunities

Parties are relaxed, well-structured and flexible, allowing children to enjoy the ponies at their own pace.

Care & Nursing Home Visits

Our care home visits are calm, sensory-led and thoughtfully tailored to residents’ needs.

Doug and Digby’s gentle nature makes them ideal for:

* Promoting wellbeing and emotional connection
* Reminiscence and conversation
* One-to-one or small group interaction

We work closely with staff to ensure each visit is suitable, safe and enjoyable for everyone involved.

School & Nursery Visits

We offer educational visits for schools and early years settings, aligned with EYFS and wellbeing outcomes.

Sessions can include:

Learning about ponies and animal care
Gentle interaction and observation
Age-appropriate educational activities

All visits are fully risk assessed and adapted to suit the age, needs and environment of each setting.

Weddings & Special Events

Our miniature ponies add a unique and unforgettable touch to weddings and special occasions.

Whether it’s a confetti pony moment, guest interaction or photo opportunities, Doug and Digby bring charm and character while remaining calm and well-managed throughout the event.

Seasonal & Community Events

From Christmas markets and festive appearances to fairs and community celebrations, our animals are available for a wide range of seasonal events.

Each booking is carefully planned to ensure appropriate timings, rest periods and welfare-first handling.

Welfare, Licensing & Peace of Mind

Animal welfare is at the heart of everything we do.

The Little Hoof Company is fully licensed by Adur District Council under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) (England) Regulations 2018. Our licence covers ponies, donkeys and goats and is valid until January 2029.

We are fully insured, DBS checked and experienced in working with children, vulnerable adults and a wide range of venues. Copies of our licence, insurance and risk assessments are always available on request.
